Quite an interesting read. Came across it earlier on Pistonheads.
These are Hampshire cars, and the BMW's are a little more tricky to spot than the Octavia VRS's they had before!

My method for spotting undercover police cars is simple and effective, any car that is 60 plate onwards i automatically assume is a police car until proved otherwise (unless its a very small car, 4x4, truck or sports car).
Then its a matter of getting a good look at the driver before making racetube sounds again.

Plain number plate is real give away for me which I notice they haven't mentioned in the article. Marked or unmarked cars never have a garage or dealership name under the plate.

And by the time you have looked to try spot all that, they will probably pull you for being careless and not paying attention to what matters.

The only way to really spot unmarked cars is to know their registration wrote fashion. Or at least the last three letters.
Learnt most of the ones down my way years ago

Most if not all of the police plates start with CV here.

Essex Police appear to have just bought a 63 plate black focus st estate. Beeped at it the other day as it was stationary at green traffic lights. Next thing I know he's put the blue's on and pulled the guy who was next to me
Shit myself for a second.

Its just coincidental that they were registered at the Maidstone DVLA office.

That only works if the volvo you're driving isn't 37 years old.

Think it's probably because it's white and similar to whatever the Hyundai version of the Astra is that the police use as a panda car
