Option 3.
Explosive decompression I would imagine as people saying it fell apart in the air. (allegedly)

No question it broke up in the air, debris field tells you that.
I'm going with sabotage of some sort.

I'm not convinced we will ever know the real truth. Suspect Russia will sensor the full flight data and spin the actual cause to become propaganda against anti-Assad forces, Islamic State or whoever they claim to be after these days in Syria et al.

Unlikely there will be anything on the voice recorder, no distress call radio'd and a missile would sound just like any other type of explosive decompression.
Some speculation on PPRuNe about rear bulkhead failure after a tail-strike repair which is also plausible but a plane full of Russions over the Middle East, that's quite a coincidence for airframe failure.

Yep, the more time goes on, the more I believe an act of terrorism is the cause of this one. Something doesn't quite add up.

ISIS already claimed it but the "officals" deny it, saying they don't have a rocket that reaches that high.
Must of been a bomb on board the plane.
That or a pterodactyl strike.

A minuscule amount of toothpaste in a jacket pocket if my recent trip to London is anything to go by, got frisked and bags were searched because there was traces of toothpaste found in my jacket pocket, was worried I would be breached at one point

According to the people on radio 2 today, the security at Sharm is less than ideal. One guy managed to get through security with a dagger in his hand luggage ffs, another with loads of bottles of water etc

I can't help but worry about the videos on YouTube of how to make your iPhone battery explode. There are no restrictions on taking aboard a phone, which, if the videos are true, can be turned into what looks like a grenade quite easily. I'm sure, if you so wished, you could take out a window with an iPhone battery and cause devastating decompression.

Amazing developments today RE British planes/passengers stuck in Egypt and not being allowed to fly home.
Seems the Russian plane was bombed- not a suicide bomb either, one planted on board

You mean the claim by terrorists that it was bombed may Actually be true after all?
It was the most obvious thing ever, yet Russia were supposedly certain it wasn't.
Least surprising development ever.

I loved it. Just go to a decent hotel and realise you will at some point shit your pants and you'll be fine.
Theres some tablets called 'antinal' which help alot with the runny shit side.

I went and didn't shit myself, so its possible. Most people I know who have been have had it though
Security was lax when I visited, little shack of an airport. Hotel had far stronger security.
Aircrash investigation alert: Debris will have explosive residue that is testable, and the debris will have certain "outward" facing edges from where the explosion was, plus they will be able to hear it on the cockpit voice recorder
So certain the probably know it is a bomb, just not announced it.

I loved it when we went. Found a nice hotel. We were looking at going back there again jet year. But it's been taken over and is being refurbished. So shut down
As said the airport was pretty lax is yoh were white. They pretty much just waved you through.
