Anyone else been living up to the hype and watched this, about half way through this and its fascinating, what are peoples thoughts on it (without any spoilers)
I genuinely found myself frustrated watching it and at the corruption and sheer incompetence of the authorities in the trial, the whole thing is completely backwards and setup imo, seen loads of things already that are completely laughable
defo defo worth a watch, filmed really well I think

My brother was completely blown away by it but spend the better part of an hour explaining the whole thing, so no need for me to watch it, really.
It does seem a bit like a one-sided, sensationalist, Michael More type documentary, which isn't exactly my thing.
Great for conspiracy theorists, I believe.

I haven't watched it yet but it's for exactly this reason, seems more like they had an agenda and deliberately left out key pieces of evidence in order fulfill it. Shame really as it sounds really interesting.

its not really a conspiracy theory type theme, like zeitgeist etc, it does use mainly all real footage and evidence and facts, some of them blatant and unquestionably wrong, the defences case and his lawyers (who are fantastic) provide some great material which really makes you think, definitely worth a watch and a real eye opener in to how poor the system is, feel sorry for the accused.

An interesting interview with one of the reporters present at the trial, outlines some of the evidence against Avery missing in the documentary

More stuff, whether it's accurate or not is questionable

Saw this at the weekend. Was knackered on Friday night but had to stay up till' midnight for some work stuff, so laid in bed and watched six episodes on the bounce
It is fascinating, produced heavily on the side of encouraging the conspiracy but based on what the viewer sees - it really does look like the bloke has been fucked by the State!

Only on episode 3. Amazing how the police make that kid confess to something. They just tell him to say things. And he does.

I watched it thought it was a really good documentary.
I think the purpose of it was not to say he was innocent, rather to highlight the flaws and injustice in the US justice system, as well as the sheer wrongdoing.
As for the Halbach case, I am not entirely sure he is guilty, but as stated it is heavily geared towards the innocence of SA.
Think the real question is if he didn't do it, what are the other possibilities? Surely part of the defence would have come up with an alternative theory? Seems a bit thin.

Wasn't one of the issues that the defence was for some reason blocked from offering an alternative suspect to the crime? I can't remember why exactly

Possibly, but don't remember much being mentioned apart from something vague about the uncle/brothers etc
Just can't seem to find a rational explanation for it. Not meaning that Steve did it, but whats the alternative?
