Insurance is up for renewal start of next month and and haven't even had Admiral contact me yet, really don't want to renew with them as most of my mods are worth more than the market value for a Corsa B and they don't even cover them yet they're declared.

Any recommendations? Had a look through previous threads about different companies so know to ignore Adrian Flux and the like.

Is anyone with or been with Sky Insurance as they seem mod-friendly

Flux were great for me, fact. I know you said ignore them, but seems people say that with no evidence.

I did give them a try last year but the guy said to me don't even bother as quotes were the wrong side of £3000.

Flux have been good for me too, that's with a C20let and all mods declared. Think I pay 550 a year for it and I'm 23

Green Light is a red light as I'm 20 and can't take out a policy with them

I don't think there is a best company nowaday. When I went out for insurance quotes I shopped around and going through elephant direct got me the best quote by far. I tried the likes of flux, greenlight, Keith Miller etc but elephant came out way cheaper. They were even cheaper than what they quoted on comparison sites.

Yeah that's true, I just wanted to sift out companies that didn't cover mods and had bad customer service etc. really

Hi,
I'm really pleased that you are prepared to try us again for insurance. If you wanted to PM me some contact details I'd be happy to arrange for one of my quotes team to give you a call back.
Regards,
Dan.

flux have always been good for me, big list of mods, but if not many or no mods they are way off the mark.
I do have to give them a prod come renewal time as their price always creeps up!
A plan are also good on price

Brentacre for me, flux came out cheaper but not by much. Only issue was they didn't seem to know what they were talking about.
Brentacre don't charge extra for cosmetic mods, only performance so i could ring them up 50 times in the year to add mods on and it won't cost anything extra

That would be very ideal as the majority of mine are cosmetic and I only have 59bhp

I reckon there's no harm in getting a quote from them but I have heard horror stories about their customer service and hidden fee's. Only went with Admiral as they were cheapest by far last year but every time I rang them up they tried shoving more rubbish to pay for down my throat

Would recommend green light. Easy to deal with, know what they are talking about etc.

Unfortunately I can't go with them as minimum requirement is 21+ and I'm 20

Finally received my renewal quote from Admiral of £754 and all the 10+ different quotes I had from various companies have not come close which is painful.

The guy from Brentacre just sounded like he didn't care and I thought even though they are a broker I could try and get his price down but he shut me down early

For generic standard cars, confused have always been cheapest.

For my performance cars ie. Modified Evo, CTR, MCS, M3 and the rest, Sky Insurance have been the cheapest for me. Been with them for years now

I did try Sky but unfortunately they were the same as Brentacre and even though they're modified car specialists they couldn't come close Admiral's price which was dissapointing

They tried giving me a bad renewal quote before, told them I'm getting much cheaper quotes and they told me to email them some of these quotes which I did and the price went from £700+ to £330 which I accepted.

I said to Brentacre you must be having a laugh as the straight up premium he offered me was the same as what Admiral offered me last year if I paid monthly. The insurance company it was through was called Highway.
