Just got new Auto Express with the new Corsa GSi getting razzed around a german race track. Colour was blue, VERY wide arch, 17's, and wearing full Opel GSi badging, so this is evident that the final design exists. It is a 1.6 Turbo engine with 180bhp and 211nm of torque. Which is impressive. Top speed of around 140mph, and 0-60 time of around 7 seconds. A few choice mods will see this a lot quicker though i reckon. First impressions, the car looks gorgeous with twin square tailpipes, and lovely fat wheels. The arches are excellent, and really hint that this is the range topping Corsa.

Yesh the 2.0 Turbo stuff was bollocks after all. I trust Auto Express are right with this one, since they went along to the testing of the car. So im sure they wont tell porkies. Who was it that said it was going to be 2.0 turbo?

This is the only car that would make me get another job to afford to buy it.
I loved the OPC pictures of it from the Essen show, I have to have it.

You should see it now with the larger arches. It will blo your socks off. Its got a nice deep bumper too with a big intake.

I was told from a email sent from VXSCC that irmscher will be showing a 2.0 turbo corsa C at the show to see the public reaction.
Surly they could guess the reaction of a bunch of vauxhall speed freaks

Although our spies spotted the car in Germany, it will be coming to Britain next month. The Vectra will be at a performance Vauxhall day at Santa Pod raceway, Northamptonshire, on 15 June, so the Luton firm can gauge public opinion. As well as the hot newcomer, there will also be turbocharged Corsa. The 200bhp supermini has been created by Vauxhall's UK engineers and uses the VX220 Turbo's engine. Again, the car will be used to measure customer reactions.

Was that from this weeks, because i cant find that paragraph anywhere. That corsa is just a demo, and is not the engine that is released when it arrives. That 2.0 engine resides in the Irmscher grey and red corsa that was seen at the Essen motor show.
