Right im 17, first car, Insured on my dads insurance on a 1.2 Corsa LS ive had quotes of 768 TPFT yet i just got a quote on a 2000 version 1.6 VTR and it was 638 TPFT , Thought it was too good to be true so phoned two other places, and both quoted me similar amounts.

Wondered if anyone knew why?

Saxos cheaper to repair maybe? Not as good build quality so the panels are cheaper to fix or replace. Just an idea.

Yeh, just seems weird cos over last few months had quotes on shit loads of cars, and nothing has come out under 700, never thought a 1.6 VTR would in my wildest dreams, the cars are cheap and look pretty nice, so reckon im gonna go for one....whats performance like on 16" wheels, anyone know? Speed, Handling ,etc?

They are slower than a Corsa GSi by miles.I have raced a few and pissed on them. I would never buy a French car. They are crap and fall to bits in a few years.

wtf???

When I was 17 I tried to get insured on a VTR - and got quoted ... £3800 F/c...

I doubt TPFT would of been much cheaper!

I'm thinking it must be a mistake... or maybe coz ur on your dads its really really cheap???

See what quotes you get on your own insurance?
