Tough as fcuk. 50/50 whether im gonna pass or not - its a 2 1/2 hour written.
Wont make much difference if i pass or fail but its always a damn handy bit of paper to have.

Not for much longer. Anyway - flexible cable is:
Brown - Live
Blue - Neutral
Its changing further than that too in a couple of years.

People that aren't totally clued up shouldnt be touching electrical stuff really - i get shocks quite a bit but i got used to them, its only through not thinking! - i dont even find them that unpleasant which is strange
The government are trying to fall in line with Europe - suprise suprise.

Quite easy on an old house - modern houses should be wired better than that though.

No but heres one from a past paper:
The end to end resistance of two seperate 2.5 sq mm protective conductors were measured (at 20*C) as 0.0371 ohms and 0.1631 ohms. Determine, showing all calculations, the:
A) Length of EACH conductor (2.5 sq mm is 7.41 Mohms/m at 20*C)
B) Overall resistance of two conductors wired in parallel and each measuring 0.071 ohms

A lot of people like Black tape - and connector blocks - even though they arent a mechanic joint therefore not strictly legal to be left in circuit.
