depends on your budget and what u wanna use it for, power wise id go for a uno turbo if you can find a good one, stick a roll cage in, bucket seats, bleed valve induction kit few other bist and hey presto, smart car and fking fast for not a lot of money really
wouldnt picjk any from that list imo but if i had to, would be the rs

does it matter what sort of condition its in? i suppose if your willing to throw reasonable money into it that it wouldnt matter, if i was to do the same my choices would be
Uno Turbo MK2
RS turbo series2
Fiesta RS
Corsa with 2.0 turbo conversion

Get a mk1 golf and put a big VAG engine in eg, 2.9vr6, 1.8t or a mk3 2.0 16v engine.

1.8t has tuning potential but suffers from bad turbo lag, the 2.0 16v has same power and will deliver it alot better. But the daddies the 2.9vr6 engine 190bhp standard.

incorrect, i have the 1.8t and it hardly lags at all, just keeps pulling and pulling right through the gears, i admit there is some lag, but nowhere near bad enough for it to be a problem
