My dad has had a heart attack quite recently and we hav wanted to get a dog for a while and we think nows a good time to get 1! So he's not by himself all tha time!
We want somethin smallish and short haired..any ideas or opinions on breeds..etc!

Boxer dog, sheer class. Look hard but are really soft. Not small though!

Staffordshire bull terrior, although i think one of them may make your dad worse.
My dad also had a heart attack not to long ago. All the muscles are shagged around his heart and he needs treatment to rebuild them

i used to have a west ireland terrier and two king charles spaniels , i really do recommend em even tho they r bout £400 they r worth it .they have a good temper , and they r small ,take little walking and r great and no problems !
am thinking bout gettin 1 for my home too

Now do u reckon we should get a puppy or rescue an older one thats house trained - a pupy cant come out for a while due to innoculation so i think a puppy may defeat the object as my dad cant walk with it! has anyone rescued a dog before?

My dad loves cavlier king charles spaniels! price aint an issue!

naa u shud get one at a yr or over , alot less hastle coz he aint gonna want to train it and it shitting everywhere !
