right at the moment i can't get insured on a 2.0 16v corsa but i can get insured on either a punto gt or a 106gti. im keeping the corsa but taking it of the road to have all the bits sorted around christmas, when i will have around 4-5 k to buy either 1 of these.
what do u suggest getting, which has the better performance/most reliabilty

106 GTI better handling similarish 0-60 times 106 being a little quicker standard punto is better after 100 tho

looking at AT it seems i am more likely to get a low millage gt at the price rather than a high milliage gti
all the ones around 4.5 have around 70k

gt is quicker than 8, mind you mine was chipped etc and i havent seen the 106 above 129 yet

hmmmmm standard, i still think the GT will beat the 106, but i drove my GT moded for ages.

ok lets look at this logically, a 106 will be 0.5 of a second faster to 60, and as soon as it meets the twisty stuff the punto will be a mere blip in the rear view!!
not much in it on the straight but fact is a standard GTi is faster

however the Punto would be a much more tuneable engine and 150bhp could be acheived fairly easily with a few well chosen mods

no those figures are wrong
punto GT has the higher top end 106 has sliughtly faster to 60
