the 10k engine is for proper rally spec racing

That's a bit like saying how long is a piece of string. Could be pushing 400 with hybrid turbos etc. If you are talking everything except nos it could be more. Either way a lot of $

Standard turbo is 204bhp.
Highest to date is about 380bhp I think. I know someone who's currently building one that used to be phase 4 (370bhp) with a huge turbo and autronic management. Should be topping 450bhp IIRC.
With N/A cars there is always a limit with how far you can go, with turbo's you can always throw more money at it to give it more.

Phase 5 will still have nothing on a autonic set up.
That nova will be immense! Well, worse than it already is!

which engine do u guys think is best to drop into a corsa for power? the standard turbo bhp is higher yet peeps still get red tops which cannot compete really on power.

turbo's are a lot more expensive to put in and there are still reliability problems with them. there is also the handling factor in the corsa as it is 2wd when the C20LET came out of a 4x4. this means that there will be a lot of wheelspin through to the 3rd gear due to the high amounts of torque from the turbo.
the red top is generally seen as cheaper and more reliable as well as lighter than the turbo

Gotta remember though that a corsa is not really meant for huge power, and putting in a C20XE is usually a balance between performance (considerable) and easy of doing and safety.

Touring cars have cerain restrictions on the engines though to prevent them getting any more power. Can't use throttle bodies etc (i think).

Well then spend a hell of a lot of money on them.
I think the standard stuff can be alterd, but im really sure they are not allowed throttle bodies.
I may be wrong, but im 90% sure im not

They definatly use tb's. If they didn't they wouldnt have seen the same advantages of using the reversed cylinder head.
