is it true the vents over the engine bay are slightly raised on all the turbo's?

Yep, they are up about 1/2 inches.

there was a bitch of a one over here for sale, 17's etc on it, for 4.5k
i havent got a clue what rev it was but it did have the same rear light setup as the one pictured
i like them myself, but it's too impractical for me

will be REV3 then...1993/94 they introduced them lights...although its a popular mod or people with the older rear lights REV2 as its quite cheap and easy to complete..so can never be 100% sure!

To get that mod done with new parts is not cheap!!! It cost £400 from toyota just for the parts! Trying to find second hand ones is like trying to get blood out of a stone!
Luckily mines a real Rev3.
Sooty, at your age I wouldn't bother with and import N/A, the insurance hike for import will be quite big and you won't gain anything. Get a UK rev3 with the 174BHP engine.

Yeah if u go to Toyota...I have a friend who works for these...they get loads of 2nd hand parts...he had his done..

Get the turbo its a much more fun!!! You also get an LSD, mine has traction for those wet weather moments and sooooo much more power.
Try and get a Rev3 though as the engine is repositioned for better balance.
