They dont really mean much, but they are usefull in the help and modification advice, and Classified and wanted sections.
If you can see a persons been registered fro a long while, and has a large post count, you can have a better jugement on how genuine they are.

well of course they do but if the counts are brought back everyone starts from scratch and you will get a lot of people trying to have the most posts and sometimes this can only be done by posting shite therefore bringing the tone and the quality of the site down......well thats my view anyway!
