Yip there shit at their job
i bought a steering wheel (blue) with loads of other stuff off ebay for 45 bucks ages ago.
Took the steering wheel to halfords, claimed it was new and that my uncle got me it as a present but thot my car was blue!
They offered to refund the money involved - £130!!!!
But instead i made em swap it for a nice new red one
fuk em

The thing with Halfords is if you can get to the staff, my local one takes backhanders and lets me walk out with stuff not going 'thru the books'. Where else can someone get a spax RSX kit new for £340 LOL or an ENTIRE roll of Autoleads 0 gauge power cable for just over £100 notes lol

i think you will find halfords do NOT have a warhouse if they order goods they come direct from manufacturer and i belive the supplier was at fault for not supplying it as they probs didnt have any in stock

just thought i'd point out that i work at halfords, and yes there are some idiots in the company who know fcuk all bout cars, but that don't apply 2 everyone. As we sell so much stuff, its impossible to be an expert in everything. Take me for instance, i don't claim to know everything about cars off the top of me head, but i'll have a bloody good go at finding out. We don't get any training as such bout cars etc. so i found out for myself. Some people just don't bother to try !!!
and some audio stuff don't come in with main stock, we av 2 order it in !!

Ive only had good experiences with Halfords, the guys at my local Ripspeed are excellent helped me install my amps subs etc last year for free, when i didnt even buy them from them, when i did need a part they got it next day delivery for me
But will agree with 20% off they are still above alot of places, although they do do some good wheel deals quite often

i find that the staff that work at my halfords are all knowledgeable to a ceratin extent, i mean they can help ur average motorist, not major technical stuff, but some are good at that too! i also fink the fitting price is daft, ppl at the store i work at fit on the sly for free!
