I want it to look standard the only body work plan is to eventually find the time to skim it and paint it.

looks so much better than saturday...

iirc from when i had a digi dash in one of my old corsas there is a wire for road speed comming from the instrument cluster as standard (possibly a red and blue) that may help solve the inlet flap issue??

my bodge job home made system was only temporary so I bought a brand new 01 vectra down pipe today, its got a 2" bore and is complete with a flexi pipe and the bracket that mounts up near the sump... I need to source a decent 2" bore long straight through silencer now.

The variable inlet is doing swweeet FA! Unbolted the ECU so I could watch it; when I rev the engine the inlet opens for about a second then it closes up, there must be a vacuum leak

I swaped the solenoid and actuator for one on my spare inlet and I've also fitted the electronic speed sender and plumbed it into the ECU.

I've now replaced the coil overs with Bilstein shocks and matched Bilstein -40mm springs and I'm happier with the ride.

Also fitted a GSi exhaust as my straight through system was doing my head in! Its a proper sleeper now

I thought I'd paint the slam panel too while I had the bumper off:

Then I decided something was missing so I painted the engine cover.. Not 100% sure it was the right idea though

Might redo the cover at a later date and mix in some silver with the black to create a really dark metalic grey.
