I dislike the students doing the protesting, almost as much as I dislike the police force that use the protests as an excuse to cause harm to innocent civilians.
I just wish such a protest (yes, with violence and riot), would, or could occur about the wikileaks thing or against the government, or even petrol prices.
People allow themselves to be walked all over by the government because it's seemed as the norm..Me, I'm fed up of any government. I think it's a failed practice which is old. You vote for a person who promises X and delivers Y. It's always the same, empty promises. Not just that, but the wikileaks has shown us what we've known/suspected for a long time, that the government keep many secrets from us, some for our own sake, other's because we would be pissed off..I think if we're putting these people in power, we should be allowed access to information about what they're doing with 100% of the tax payers money. Unless it's security related (which let's face it, they've claimed the wikileaks to be a matter of security, thus closing down the website 3 times), but let's be honest..is it security related or just secrets they never wanted to come to light? I think some of both but they're mainly concerned of the secrets.
Getting far off track now, so I apologise but I hope some of you will share my dream of one day protesting like the student protests, against the government. We put them in power and they treat us like shit on their shoe.
