n a 2ltr corsa cant cost more than a grand or watever....
Not really Can be done much cheaper. I've no idea how heavy my EE9 is now that it's stripped out but it won't be far off those power figures either. Only cost a couple of grand

Major lol, i havent heard so much shite in my life.
How a corsa can constantly pull away from a ctr until it hits vtec is just bollocks.
Plus when racing the ctr will pretty much always be in the vtec region.
IIRC it kicks in at 5k rpm and at 6k rpm the lift controllers kick in on a ctr? Something like that.
Vtec kicks in @ 5800-8200 on a standard ep3 IIRC... once mapped usually lowered around 5k or below and raised to 9k (ish)
I can imagine it being very close with a healthy ep3 vs healthy corsa xe with similar driving abilities... 1200kgs 197 bhp vs 1050kgs 150bhp?
my clio is 960kg 185bhp, cant see that nailing a type r though
[Edited on 23-05-2011 by gez bay]
a decent xe corsa and ep3 type r are about the same.

Cheers Brett Teggy's aren't rapid, no. But they are by no means slow. Certainly not slow enough to be beaten by a Sport Unless it has a LOT done to it?
