Its nearly time for Sir Wiggins to try get gold in the Mens Time Trial. Hope hes not too dead from the road race on Sat. Fingers crossed he can do it.

Same as Louis Smith crying after the pommel horse the other day, the amount of relief when he nailed it after the pressure he was under from the expectation of the crowd and media. Brilliant. They're just normal people




Thats why I was cheering on the South African to beat Phelps... I was getting abit tired of seeing Phelps 'oh I seemed to have won another Gold medal... oh well' reaction. I think one of the GB swimmers summed it up well - 'it would be a dream to JUST win one medal, never mind the 19 of the bloody things!!!'

This is what its all about!! I seriously hope he wins gold over the weekend!

In fairness to Phelps, he seems a really nice guy as well, put his arm round the SA guy and had a good chat with him, posed for every photo.

Last night, I initially thought Phelps was a cock as he seemed to utter 'fook me' after losing out to the SA, but later saw him with his arm around the SA guy

Some yank won the 100m swimming with 47.52, beating second place who got 47.53

The whole of the field was less than 1 second apart.

Phelps is really down to earth. Was great with the young SA lad that beat him. Was showing him what to do afterwards etc.
