Carrera Fury or Voodoo Hoodoo, both have been voted best bike under £500, I had a Fury and loved it until I got the full suss itch..

Rock hopper seem to be about £300 for an older model. That seems alright.
Will go look for a carrera. First one I found was down the road for £5 pmsl don't think its the model you said Liam however.

If you are willing to pay £300 then I would go for a rockrider 5.3 from decathlon

Its not going to be until march anyway cole as I've got BMW to sort out first. £300 I'd say is what I could afford.

Deffo want a hardtail to start mate.
As said Voodoo Hoodoos gets great reviews for a sub £500 bike.
Probs lots of good 2nd hand deals around on nearly new bikes. What size do you need Nick?

Just got this message about a bike for sale...
Oright dude got a kona stinky as selling , just not got space for it , do a lot of road biking so not got time for both , dun a lot with it new crack, chain , Cassette, brake pads, 2 new tyres ( Cross country ones ) upgraded bomba front Suspension wanted. £300 but would let u hav it for £250 they bikes where £1,200 new all they are not just a hard tail and hav full suspension .
Not sure what size I need I'm 5ft10

Where did you get that message? 'They are not just a hard tail and hav full suspension' makes not sense. Depending on year I think the Stinkys were more downhill orientated that XC.
