It had been agreed months ago, before he went away for the Confeds - they just delayed the signing until now as a few days before the season will perk the fans up a bit.

Just signed Danny Drinkwater from Manchester United.
Not heard or seen anything of him, but he plays for England U19's so i'm guessing he can't be that bad, especially at our level.

I bought him on Football Manager, he was pretty good for my championship Crewe, sold him when I got in the prem tho

I rate van der Vaart very highly. Used to have an Ajax top because of him when I was a bit younger Excellent passing, control, shooting and dead ball player! I'd do as you said as well Robbo, stick Walcott up front and have vdV and Fabregas pinging the passes about,

There was a rumour on teletext yesterday, apparently from the Mail that Sven is trying to get Figo and Nedved out of retirement for Nott County! And get Viera in!

Difference is if he plays (which he will unless you get a massive bid in today) then he'll be cup tied - Ibra playing against you made no difference.

It was just an example. I am fully aware of the Champions League implications if he does play this evening.
