Glad to see progress, although dissaprove of hiding it away for winter.

Next thing, you'll be towing it to shows! Drive it!

cams and dastek sound a good plan

i ran dastek on my c16xe, genuine mantzel and all the usual. made 142bhp iirc. so your cams should be a nice extra.

Speaking of Dastek had this bad body turn up a few weeks ago! -

I spent a fair amount of time looking into the different options available like normal chipping etc. The downside to this which put me off buying a generic chip was that it not really going to give me the best results. But after taking my ecu apart I found that it was the later type without the removable chips so that ruled that out. With the Dastek I can have it custom mapped to suit all my mods so it should see some pretty good gains as Gez says Theres one on youtube with pretty much the same mods as mine bar P+P head making 150bhp on Dastek!

Also bought it a GM Opel Blitz grill badge Cheers to Kev for giving me the parts number! Its a good job you did because the bloke instantly said he couldnt get any opel parts :S

Got it fitted straight away Sorry the pics are a bit dark

Progress hasnt been as quick as I'd hoped due to having a bump in the Clio. But Im just ordering my rebuild parts now so I can get cracking with it. Hoping to have the car back on the road for around the end of March. Then I'll be taking it to Alden Automotive to have the Dastek wired in and mapped. Can't wait to find out what power it makes!

looks good

the dastek is a good bit of kit, can add launch control and all the fancy bits onto it

the only thing that annoyed me with it is i couldn't get it to sit tidy under the plastic with the standard ecu, so i had to tie it up, but the plastic cover wouldnt sit tidy to hide it.

mine pulled very well, seems a good torque increase mid range too, which i'd lost initially with the inlet
