Something a tad ironic in there some where.... Coming from the club that has dominated the league over the last 20 years.....

Yes but they didn't sign him, only gave him a medical. Bet they were kicking themselves when they saw what he did in a decent team for a season.

I don't know, I only seem to read about it from you on here, I've not seen another bit of "information" on it from SSN, BBC sport, sporf, or talksport on twitter

You don't need to hear about it from anywhere else when you have Steve Townsend.

I don't see how you lot can write it off as a laughable notion. I don't think its likely he will, but there so many things going on here that its impossible to ignore it.
a) he hasn't signed a new contract yet and RM are supposedly unwilling to budge on his wages.
b) united haven't made any marquee signings yet, and all their bids so far have pretty much just been testing the water being obviously too low, with the exception of Fabregas. Testing the water because if they are seeking a deal and it falls through there are some backups.
c) he supposedly didn't look happy or celebrate any of the goals in the last match, some people have likened his behaviour to how Rooney is acting at the moment.
d) Bale is pretty much leaving for around the 90m mark, suspicions are RM are only willing to spend this based on getting a large sum in for another player, and look who could get a large sum of money that happens to play in the same position as Bale.
e) Allegedly a BBC sports reporter reported that 4 trustworthy sources had admitted that the move is a reality, considering Bale to RM happens.
f) Ramon Calderon (former RM president) publicly told Sky Sports (pretty credible source) that there had been talks between RM and United over a Ronaldo return.
Then there are other more speculative theories to add to these.
- The number 7 shirt has recently become available again, for no apparent reason (I don't buy that lack of confidence bullshit)
- Holding on to Rooney when he clearly wants to leave, stating that he wont be sold to a premier club, but they would be willing to sign him abroad imo as part of a deal as I cant see united putting up the amounts they want for Ronaldo.
- Some have likened his body language at the moment as being exactly the same as just before he left united, repeatedly saying hes happy and not leaving even up to a month before he left.
Now before you lot get all excited with the facepalm.smiley, again im not saying it looks likely he will, but I wouldn't write it off and I think its at least worth a mention, in the least its makes a change and is fresher than the constant other rumours that keep circulating anyway
