How did you maske around the windows Iaz?

Want to respray mine and that's one thing I'm still not sure on how do do correctly.

the best way i think to do it is to ease the rubber from the outside of the windows if u can, they are still bonded in so wont fall out, then paint and put rubbers back in after!!!

Ahhh, I thought the seal went from outside to inside with the glass sandwiched in the middle, didnt realise you ould take the rubber off the outside. Much easier now I know that!!

on most cars, when masking, i just overlap 2 inch masking tape over the rubber and using a blade go around the edge and the rubber gets perfectly covered with masking tape

DAY 12 PROGRESS SO FAR:-

no real progress form yesterday was just rubbing the car down, worked from 9-3 today then home, wiped over car, pannel wipe, tak clothed it, then few layers of black in the afternoon, just made it in for me t then out to clean the gun and then off to work, am back home now and putting the flakes in the paint!!!! more pics to come in hour or soooo:-

yea have done all te door and boot shuts also, i paint then then close everything up then do outside then the shuts dry then ready for next coat once i have done outside!!!

the flakes are now in, done 2coats......stull only 60grams i think but looks quite alot of flakes on there, also done another coat of laquer, may do another 2 tonight then rub it down tomorrow afternoon then 2 final layers of laquer on sunday...........thats me plan!!! should have nice shine on it then, painting going suprisinly well considering how cold it is

I did some painting last weekend, the laquer got too cold and cracked while drying Luckily it wasn't anything too important, just some uni work, so I could just re-do it...

The cars looking really good

Where do you get your paints from? I need to get some paint for my car in the newxt few weeks

i have never had laquer crack on me........yet and its prett dam could out there now, dont even have heater in me shed!!!!

i get my paint from nu ange.....prob spelt that wrong!!!! u want there number........ highly reccomend them, very good prices and good stuff!!! also delivery is normally day after!!! there paint is generally between 20-50% cheapers than my local paint suplier and they are so friednly and answer any questions i ask..............there have been a few....lol
