My reasons for not going for one doesnt revolve around that though!!
Oh, and I didnt go to private school, or part of a polo club (I hate horses!) and he doesnt own a Jag (anymore)

How big is this thread?
If ANYONE is thinking about getting an E46 M3, make sure it had the 1200 mile running in service, which was basically an oil & filter change, totally free of charge. If it didn't, BMW have found this to be a cause of major engine failure. They can't sell it on a BMW forecourt without at.
That is why the E46 M3 might be that cheap - and some did miss the service.
On another note, go for an E46 330Ci Cabriolet.

So £15k for an M3 with a tape deck
£20k for HK and a telly? I would keep the £5k and hum, personally.
I like nav but five THOUSAND pounds for it? You could hire a cab to follow for that.

I guess it's what it'll be worth when he comes to sell it on aswell, in 5 years time nobody won't know what to do with a tape deck, and the car's far to new to call it a classic, i'd rather save an extra few quid and get a better model.
Or buy an elise s2 111r

Resale value will follow similar trends to current prices, Except I think you'd be hard pushed to get good money back for the more expensive option. The lower on will have reached very affordable market & will apeal to many, tape player or not!

Why compromise?

I assume you'd have change aswell for some nails and a 'sony' tv

And for the record, the sat nav is pretty shit in E46 age BMW's.
TV isn't bad - nothing to shout home about. You have to tune it in every time you want to watch it.

15k for an early car with high miles and no spec. 20k for a later car with a few options and better mileage. 25k+ for a late car, top spec and low miles. It does make a difference.
