China have over 2million troops iirc, but it means nothing when they have no means to convey them to any given warzone
Russia's Navy hasn't seen investment in a couple of decades, to the point where submarines have been left rotting and in serious disrepair, they are actively sizing down still further, IIRC they started building an aircraft carrier called the varyang and ended up selling it to China half built, who didn't end up completing it's construction either.
They are also leasing subs out to India now.
EDIT: Russia were constructing an Aircraft carrier not a people carrier

Except the main export is cigars, and us westoners (well easteners to them ironically) buy them.
It doesnt really work. They dont have many doctors (due to you can make said cigars on the same money), and no real prospect of life.

Anyways, I think there is more than oil to libya. I think the lockerbie bomber has some tentions to it too.
If its soley about protecting the people, why havent we gone for bahrain? As far as i can see, they are the only country to hold actuall peaceful protest (no weapons, just walking and praying), and they are getting gunned down. The libyians are started shooting at the gouverment officials.

The world's going to fin soon, we're overpopulated and we're unable to meet the demand of all the humans on the planet, as it stands. There's not enough drinkable water or food, never mind energy supply..and it can only get worst. Also you have the fact we now have nuclear weapons that can fuck everybody's shit right up. World's not gonna last much longer, enjoy it while you're here
