I'm aware of that however fiction can still make logical sense and not be mumbo jumbo designed to look like it has some clever subplot when actually it doesnt. I want to see this film now I can go into it forgetting its anything to do with other alien films, but I wouldnt beat yourselves up looking for answers to mysteries as they probably don't exist which is fine I just think its a cheap method of scripting to get people talking about it rather then being genuinely clever.

Right, I havent watched Alien, but watched Promotheus today and thought it was pretentious crap. Was bored for most of it.

I feel I have been quite objective about this film and discussed it at length here. I neither loved it or hated it but final word is that as a standalone movie it is fairly good.

Just been to see this. It was ok and perfectly watchable but i feel it was over hyped. Not as good as the alien series (before this obviously)
