Feel a bit for him really, Radio 1 haven't helped him at all by actively aiming the station at 15-24 year olds, it's a relatively small demographic, especially for radio listeners.

Add this to a dreadful repetitive playlist and precious little good new music coming out and he's on a hiding to nothing.

Never used to listen to radio but since as i dont have my ipod control in my new car I've been listening to Radio 2. You do get some "older" music thats a bit questionable but they sometimes play the odd gem, much better than listening to the same One Direction song for the fifteenth time. Presenters are far more listenable to too.

Crazy thing is, they have Radio2 on at the sorting office in the mornings, and Sara Cox fills in occasionally before 630, so I sometimes hear her on there being all proper, then hear her a little bit on R1 10-1245 on the way home acting like a spasticated 12 year old. Really weird

I'm not surprised in the slightest. After the first 4 weeks I didn't think it would work. We used to be avid listeners in the office. Now we listen to a mix of BBC 3CR (which has no music after 7am on the breakfast show!), KISS and Capital. We revert back to Radio 1 for Scott Mills and especially Greg James.

I say Greg or Dev for the breakfast show. Both seem to have have a way of "getting down with the kids" without being ridiculous or stupid.

I haven't listened to R1 much at all since Moyles left - certainly not Grimmy.

Also another one who can't stand Matt Edmondson or Gemma Kearney (sp)

Now usually listen to Radio 2 or the iPod! Listen to 1Xtra in the evenings instead of Zane Lowe too. Happened to hear a bit of Charlie Sloth the other day too -

I lasted 5 seconds of Gemma talking the other day before turning the radio off, not sure how anyone can suffer her voice for longer than that

I thought Greg would have got the breakfast show originally, I like dev on the early morning show.
