It's a bit in the brain that's clearly not wired properly. Even really hard criminals draw the line somewhere, they know they are doing wrong but do it. This is something completely different.

I just think it's incredibly unfair to people with genuine mental health issues, to refer to someone this evil as merely ill or sick.

It belittles his heinous actions and pretty much gives him an excuse.

It also lumps all people with insanity issues in the same boat as someone that monstrously cruel and sadistic.

His brain my cause him to want to act like that, but its his attitude to punishment that causes him to go through with it.

I'm with Jim - its not attributable to something he had no control over.

At the risk of sounding like an apologist I'm not so sure. Don't get me wrong, I fully agree with the sentence and obviously he should be removed from society but there is still something that has caused him to have these urges and, more importantly, to act on them.

What exactly that is is up for debate, as is how much influence his drug taking had on it, but there must be something wrong mentally to start with.

I sincerely hope not.

Because he will be treated accordingly if so.

Needs to be in with what the yanks call ''Gen-Pop''

Maybe that's for the best though? As it is it could be he doesn't think what he has done is wrong, perhaps if he was "fixed" then reality might dawn and he realises exactly what it is he did and just why it was wrong.

If he simply goes to prison and is surrounded by other sex offenders, other people with his sort of thoughts and urges, then is he really paying for what he's done?

I see the point Dave is making.

We all know it's wrong.

However, if in somebody's brain everything tells
Them it's ok to act like that, it's a different story.

Before anybody goes crazy
I agree he deserves punishment.
However, most of us don't do a lot of "wrong things" but if in our heads we were made to think they're right, then are we really wrong?

I think that makes sense

Personally I think there's fuck all wrong with his Brain. The way that I see it is pedo's havnt got a bit in there brain that's wrong or coded different or what ever. They're just people that fancy children
Don't think people should try putting him in the "mentally ill" category as that sort of gives him a way out.
It's like your trying to justify what he has done by saying "it's horrible what he's done, but he is mentally ill though"
Guys just a fucking disgusting pedophile.
I do wonder though if there's a chance it could of turned into some sort of murder case if no one had stopped him at this stage... The way he spoke about and treated them baby's makes me feel like eventually he would of killed one of them. Either overdosed on drugs or just physically hurt the child
If you ask me he's not got a long enough sentence!

He hasn't got a long enough sentence . Only has to do two thirds . And then he's out on licence but big deal he will still have his wealth . They should of awarded each child a share of his fortune and left him with nothing

Hopefully he'll only serve a few terrifying months of his sentence.

And then spend a few minutes (preferably hours) bleeding out, through the holes were his eyes and genitals once lived.

I dont see why they should be able to get parole.. They should doo the full term of there sentences.. In case of B her sentence should be wat longer and too much credit has been given to her early guilty plea.
