It's one of the original cores

been fixed once under warranty and I did the towel trick and its lasted 3-4 months maybe

Well I've got loads if you want to do some kind of exchange deal. Up to you. I wouldn't towel trick it again tho if you're wanting it repaired as it knackers them big time. I got one where it'd been REALLY over done with all the fuses falling off 'n all sorts

Well yea, put your scratched one in to play? My brother got disc unreadable with his copy, borrowed mine to install to HD, then continued using his disc without any problems

Disc only needs to be inserted for the check once the game boots up. As long as the data for the check is readable it should play fine

I doubt it will do, the Xbox doesn't even reconise the disc, when I put it in, it just comes up Open Tray as if the tray is empty. Anyways, gots no one close by I could borrow it off.
Just gonna buy another copy, £25 isn't too bad.
