I think it would be funny if Real all of a sudden turned round and said words to the effect of "Meh, we don't want Bale anymore, enjoy administration"

Really amazes me how Spurs have managed to sign so many quality players without other clubs coming in as well (barring willian, who i think Chelsea bought just to stop spurs having)
United could learn a lesson from Spurs, bid proper amounts early, get the players signed and in the team getting to know the players and settling in, instead of offering £75 and a Mars bar for everyone before upping our offers last minute

Spurs are just signing players for the sake of signing players now they have a bit of cash to throw around. United won't just sign for the sake of it they will only sign what they feel will genuinely add to the side in areas they are lacking, and won't pay over the odds either. To be fair to arsene we all lol at him, but in his press conference I did tend to agree that players values lately are being dictated by clubs financial power and desire not by their actual talent or proven ability.
Time will tell if spurs spending was worth it.

I'd be amazed if we signed any of these targets before 11 on Monday night.
Cesc Fabregas - Completely dead deal
Ander Herrera - Might be our most realistic
Daniele De Rossi - Seems to be linked with several teams most transfer windows
Kaka -
Leighton Baines - Anti climax to summer transfer window
Marouane Fellaini - Anti climax to summer transfer window

Though they run the risk of having signed too many players and upsetting the balance of what they already had.

I actually think Fellaini would be a decent signing for us. He's not really comparable to other players on the market.

I disagree about Fellaini and Baines being anti climax to transfer window. Think they are both quality and would improve any squad in the prem.
