Will, you know about computers, my laptop keeps coming up saying virtual memory minimum to low

It's stupidly slow too, any ideas?

you need to increase the amount of Virtual memory, make a post in geek day and tell them your problem.

Also list your operating system.

If you are running Windows XP.

Open Control Panel
Open System
Go to the Advanced Tab
Click Settings under 'performance'
Click the second tab which is Advanced
Bottom right there is a 'change' button under virtual memory, you can change the size there.

If it happened at a certain point of time after achange (ie, installation of a new program, updates etc) then try to revert it back.

Could be spyware or something, run something like Spybot or <favorite anti spyware program here>

Make sure your anti virus is up to date (i use AVG), if you get it to scan make sure it does it at unsocial hours so it doesnt slow down you when you are using it.

Try a good old defrag, works best when you arent using the PC.

It just seems to have gradually slowed down over the last month.

Downloaded AVG anti virus and anti spyware the other day after Norton started playing up. I'll run a defrag later, just looking at what you mentioned in the first post now
