Both my cameras and the 2 my mate bought dont have date stamps. Dont ask me why, must be a different batch or something.

got a link to the exact camera you bought?
Some of the cameras are older/new Ste. So some you can program the time to disappear. I have tried with mine but failed and I have the same as you. (The biggest difference in the cameras is how the time is displayed, some display in yellow and some in other colours.)

i know, there is 4/5 different one's 1 can be modded to remove it, and the last one can have it turned off etc
the one i got #3, cant be modded apparently, after reading a site all about them

i know, there is 4/5 different one's 1 can be modded to remove it, and the last one can have it turned off etc The ones I read up on if allowed can have it disabled in the time setting file. But not with ours .

mine did same thing at first, had to reset it numerous times, and formatt the sd card in a reader,

mines only ever had a solid orange light on it, just try and make a vid, it should be fine
