Not sure about Steve (you know, because he's a bit clueless) but i've always had my concerns about Torres declining/being able to come back from more injuries. He's a hell of player but he broke into the Athletico team when he was very young and his game is all about a burst of speed and he'll lose that soon enough...

Fair enough, i'll admit i've been wrong before, Torres leaving proved to me that all footballers are nobs tbh

I can't really go back on what i said about him always being quick to get back to scoring after an injury (for us) as that was a FACT ... but as I said in that post (and in my post on the last page) his injury record was always something I was concerned by (in terms of it affecting how long he will be at the top for), glad it's chelsea's problem now, he's due another injury any time

Yes, and providing he stays 'fit' til the end of season and gets a full pre seaon under his belt before the start of the 2011/12 season

Personally I think Chelsea should tell him to go on holiday now, get his head in order and come back refreshed in pre season. Start from scratch next season. That would be good player management IMO.

That is ridiculous logic Ben, Kaiserslautern beat Schalke 5-0 this year, if they can beat them so emphatically then we surely can beat them

Arsenal might win a cup one day but that also has zero relevance.

Not going to happen though, even if it the most sensible thing to do. Continuing to play him is just silly. If any thing it's making his confidence worse with all the media adding up the minutes he doesn't score.
