Very valid theory really, though I find it hard to believe that all forms of communication would be wiped out? If you thought the plane was likely to crash and kill everyone on board, you would send a mayday at the first instance. I can understand aviate, navigate, communicate but if it was life or death they'd let someone know im sure of it.

As I predicted earlier, militaries now owning up to having data on the incident. As at the time they where not looking for it, it wouldn't have been hugely interesting.

As I said, there will be more information out there it is the task of getting all the agencies involved to talk to each other and share information that IMO is their biggest challenge.

The above theory is interesting. A bit presumptuous maybe but certainly less fanciful.

Weren't 777's known for electrical faults/fire earlier last year? Grounded them IIRC.

I think it's been shot out the sky by military not realising what it was at the time as they thought it might of been a threat, now they know there's a missing plane there trying to cover it up! But then there's still that weird reason someone's turned the transponder off

That was 787's, was mainly to do with the lithium batteries, although an Ethiopian plane had a fire that I think wasn't battery related.

Fake debris imo, planted by the government to stop the rumours.

I actually agree with Jim! Debris image looks very rectangular to me - shipping container possibly if the scale of 24m is very approximate.

If it's crashed into the sea, there's no way they'd only find 2 bits.

Was down the hairdressers the other day when a customer was discussing this. His theory was that the plane had flown into space and got stuck there

Was also discussing the fact that his children were keeping him up at night

I recon the plane went north. Why you would just fly it out south where your going to run out of fuel, just ditch it.

Hadn't realised that someone from my company was on the plane. A few at my site knew him

Crew/pilots incapacitated. As the fire theory explained.

Trouble is, how far would the debris have drifted in all this time?

they are dropping some devices into the ocean that measure currents so they can get an idea of where this debris may have travelled to/from.

That's all well and good but the current changes and it's nearly 2 week on . Be better putting a million reward to fishermen and scuba divers to keep their eye out for it
