MY Ka holds the land speed record for a Standard car. Will do 93 top end. And my other does 130 top end, which is faster than ever 2l corsa and nova put together.

explain that mattyb
some how i think your bro's nova is producing more power than your letting on
[Edited on 30-07-2003 by Dan_Corsa]
.......................those figures are, to say the least "odd"......
I mean, firstly, a corsa valver does a 1/4 in what 14.7?? 14.8?.....and ur sayin that a lighter nova valver only does it in the same, dispite the quite noticable difference it weight.........ERM NO.
Secondly, how did the astra get 10-14bhp from a K+N? Smells like bull shit that does.
Thirdly, it proves nothing. Wow, one guy's nova does a slow 1/4........? And some other guy with a astra does a quick 1/4? I would say both times are inaccurate, otherwise that astra is just a pretty damn fast motor, and that nova driver cant drive for shit.
I mean 10bhp does not make up for all the weight disadvantage an astra with full interior has, over a light strippd out nova with 154bhp....NO WAY. That nova should be running 14.4's at least.
Matt
ok so don't go santa pod cos there timing equipment is inaccurate

no he won't he'll get a Q plate
or the same reg as the donnor car but the vin numbers must be swapped so it will just be a new shell not a 2005 car

no he wont because its not a kit car or a stolen recovered it is a going to be a real nova with mostly all brand new parts so if ya crash ya car and you re shell it do you get a q plate no i dont think so just because he's building the car himself wots the difference between him and vauxhall building it would they have to put it on a q plate no they wouldnt would they he has already enquired about doing this to the dvla but all parts are going to be genuine vauxhall parts bought from vauxhall no doner cars involved

ok well wait and see bet it doesn't get registered as a 2005 car,i've been in the car trade long enough to know, cos its just a SHELL,he needs the vin plates and reg plates off anouther nova,or he'll get a q plate cos it bassically is a kit car and if you crash your car and they reshell it they use your existing vin number and reg plates
Vehicles are assigned Q prefix registration numbers where their origins or age are uncertain. At the present time Q registrations are non-transferable and must remain with the vehicle unless documentary evidence comes to light which confirms its origin / age.
so how will your mate prove the vehicles age by saying its a new shell lmao don't think dvla will just sit and listen, and what about the origin "it came from my garage i made it myself" so your mate isn't licensed to manufacture cars in his garage,so there is no proff of origin for the whole car so it will recieve Q
