we can get it done by using a cable clutch but it means that the release bearing has to be custom made and its not cheap

Most conversions use flat face thrust realease bearing, including the examples shown here and elsewhere, this is not the correct bearing to use, there are alternatives including an AP Racing slave cylinder which will require a custom mount, with one end to hold the F28 gearbox oil seal, the other to mount the slave cylinder, at a length to be measured.
Ben wants toget some use out of the car so we will sort the hydraulic clutch operation at a later date.

finaly some good news, had a spacer made up, had it made up to 9mm thickness just incase anyone else in the future needs to do it

gearbox is a twat to get back on now with it having 2 clutch plates, took 3 of us to fit the fucker, but got it all back in

then the moment to test it , fired it on and tried the clutch pedal , and you can feel the on/off moment with this clutch moved the car forward and back and it all seams to work ok, still needed to fill it full of coolant so will do that tomorow and take it for a spin to make sure its all ok ,

boaring vid of it moving forward and back

http://s422.photobucket.com/albums/pp306/bigron1988_photobucket/mar%2012/?action=view&current=70208ebd.mp4

, if it drives ok tomorow will get it in for mapping then pod next weekend , only decision ive got to make now is, do i keep it at the boost it is now and it should make 660ish or do i turn the boost down and keep it to 600ish where i know the engine has taken that power no prob and just get some use out of it

I'd run low boost for a few times then have it mapped again after a bit more seat time and go for a nutter time just before it comes back off the road.
