Rooney was dog shit, for what ever reason he wasn't himself. He hasn't really been right since that ankle injury.

Anyone that watches him in the Premier League knows thats he is world class. At least he can have a longer rest before the start of the season now.

Problem is 'world class' means nothing if you can't reproduce that form at the highest level i.e. international football, this tournament indicates to me that Rooney falls short of parity with the likes of Messi, Iniesta and Villa. Yes he'll probably have another great season at United but who gives a fuck? The same goes for Gerrard and Lampard, failures at international level means no-one will remember this so called 'golden generation' in 5 years time.

Messi's dribbling has been brilliant, but he hasn't scored from at least 20 shots, does that mean he isn't world class?

Only if you measure performance purely by goals scored.

Not really. He's a striker who hasn't scored? He had so many chances to play someone else in but has went for the shot instead, missing every time.

Add a couple of hundred, and the fact that I was absolutely 100% the only person who cheered when England scored, and you have the definition of "FTL" Good job I'm part German or they might have fucked me up goodstyle.

We were about 15 vs 200 in a Hotel at Tunisia - we still rivalled them for noise though in the first half

Walk back to the pool was awkward though
