Plans sound good Mark hope to get too see it nxt year at pvs

Love the tear drops alloys on it,has to be one of the only car's iv seen that that seem to suit them

First update for a while!

Not done a massive amount to the car but just getting a few bits sorted when money and time allows!

Engine rebuild will happen over winter to try and get rid of the smoking fingers crossed!!

First thing I did was order some blue foam padding to stop my legs/head getting hurt in case the worst happens when on track! Also stops the helmet hitting on it when getting in and out of the car!









Also ordered a new hazard switch as mine was faulty, random picture of it



Then decided to try my R888s on as I wanted to see how they sat with the new coilovers and ride hight!

Needed some small spacers at the front to stop the tyres touching the suspension but other than that it sits pretty much perfect.

The car is off the road but im 10 seconds away from an industrial estate so took it there for some pictures while it was sunny! I gave it some around the roundabout and even though the tyres are mm away from the front wings theres no touching etc

Heres some pictures for you all...













This picture shows just how close the tyres are to the wings!
Will need tracking and alighnment doing next year as I just bolted the suspension on and set it up by eye.





Fitted my new oil cap and painted it black as the old one was broken!



Also got Prey from here and PNG to flock my grey bits black to match the rest of dash!



Also got him to do the handles and winders as they were the only grey bits left in the car and looked rubbish!

Unfortunately no update as yet, but............




Found my mates old thread on PNG from when he bought the Nova from his wifes nan in 2008!

When he bought it, it was a completely orginal 1L merit with about 40K on the clock

Only has just about 52K on the shell now

Below are some of the pictures that I found of the car and some of the things he did, including fitting the throttle bodied 1.6 16v.

For those of you that are interested, dont worry I plan on getting my arse in to gear and will start working on the car around April once the weather has warmed up! Ive been gathering lots of parts over the winter and have about £200 of bits left to buy then I can start getting it ready for the MOT in time for PVS!
