It wouldn't be a stupid name though would it, 4s can be classed as the 4.5. I really don't get how Lee can be so weird about the name of a phone. As Matt pointed out, who cares. Or are you winding people up?

No, by that logic the 3GS would have to be classed as the 2.5, which then makes the 4 the 3.0 and the 4S the 3.5 and the new one the 4.0. Hence 5 would STILL be the wrong name.

It doesn't bother me what Apple calls it, but I find it extremely odd that everybody assumes they will give it a completely illogical name.

i know exactly why it is. the last release was a much bigger deal everyone was waiting for the release of the iPhone 5, then when the 4s came out the media just continued to go on about the iPhone 5.
and people think the 3 in 3G was because it was the third.

corr do I want an iphone or not? I've been rolling on my shitty samsung £20 tesco phone for over a year and I'm REALLY craving a smartphone, I just don't know if I should wait for an iphone (every time I use one they just work, but then again iphones are for fags, faggots, dick eaters etc) or find me a lovely android phone and deal with the strong emotional feeling every night wishing I had an iphone because they are so cool and i love dicks and shit.

I don't even run windows 90% of the time so I wouldnt be able to run itunes and shit without having to boot into a different operation system :/

Shame iTunes WINE support is shite but you can still VM XP though, wouldn't be too much hassle and just mount a local dir.
If it's just for syncing music then use GtkPod or similar.

Surprised you're rolling some cheapo Samsung, especially considering you can pick up something like the Ascend 300 for £80 (or less if you nab your old dears Tesco clubcard points

) which will happily run ICS or JB.

Dom, it was to get me out of trouble when my HTC had to go back and I never replaced it after getting a pay out. I really do enjoy my simple phone but I could do with emails and the like, last week I went to reading festival from Wednesday to Monday and I came home with a full battery

hopefully it does come out this month as id like a new phone. had the iphone 4 for over 2 years now. apart from a random speaker problem that fixed itself without me doing anything, its been a great phone. just time for a change and nothing else really worth getting so waited for an iphone 5.
