Little bit more done on the car..

Windscreen and rear quarters removed for ease of prep for paint, polycarbs going in the rear to complete the kit, undecided whether or not to get a heated front screen or a little kit car heater..

Can also see in that pic that the inside is now fully prep'd and ready for some paint.

Engine bay also all prep'd..

And a little weight saved haha

Ordered up a chassis strengthening kit which arrived yesterday and fitted about an hour later..

Next update will see it all painted, can't wait to start getting it all back together now!!

Really hate to bring bad news buddy but the plate kit isn't fitted right

I've got pics on my laptop from when I built my first turbo many moons ago and I took pictures from all angles when fitted. And with it being one of the first M-TEC sets it did have instructions.

I'll post some pics when I get home from work. You will then be able to cut/linish that off and fit it right before paint matey

Yeah have spoken to Dewis and yes I have fitted it incorrectly, however it's just as strong and will be doing exactly the same job so its staying like it is, plus, I like to be different

Haha na they're staying like this, looking at how they should be and how iv done them, I'd say my way is probably stronger as its triangulated, looks to be more strength in my way.

Could be wrong lol but yeh they're staying this way.

It is stronger the other way as it captures the inner and outer skins of the chassis legs that is spot welded to the lower cross-member. The right way makes the chassis leg box section up to the lower cross member in the middle to the sides rather than just being spot welded. You have just made the inner sides of the chassis leg extra strong

. I cant really see it making that much of a differance though. I've made TONE'S of cock-ups but corrected them on advice cause if I knew something was wrong and I didn't correct it, it would annoy me so much. Just the way I am. That could be a bad thing as im too bloody fussy

It would normally annoy me to the point of changing it also, but with this, yeah I should've done it the other way but its not bothering me strangely, that's why I'm not fussed to change it now, would mean cutting the whole lot out and starting again, and as said, not making much difference and is still strengthening the chassis, its not that much of a big cock up tbh.

When I did a google search for instructions a few other people have done it like me (which is why i thought they went like this) so at least I'm not the only one
