assuming you survive, that's got to be one of the coolest pub stories ever.

i'm unsure whether traffic control diverted the plane to stansted or whether the plane had already diverted to stansted before the fighter jets intervened?

It's just a poorly edited version of the original.

The poor little bastard. My heart goes out to all of his nearest and dearest.

Seeing his family on the news was utterly gut wrenching.

Woolwich is such a toilet. Unfortunately for me and mine, it's only a few miles from me too.

I used to work in one of the adjacent ghettos and made sure I was in a vehicle or building, for as much of the time I was there as was possible.

I'm not small and not entirely un-streetwise yet got caught out once.

That whole area was not somewhere to be on foot in, on the street, solo, if not sporting some form of ethnicity in conjunction with an exotic religion. Or perhaps a shotgun.

I never felt comfortable, happy or relaxed around there and i'm talking about just over ten years ago too.

I'm so utterly amazed that there is apparently no safety protocol/s in place for troops based at those barracks, in this day and age.

Soldiers should not be wandering around unaccompanied and unable to defend themselves in an area such as this. Ideally they should have radios and be in safe numbers at all times and if necessary, issued with pepper spray.

Obviously decades of IRA attacks have taught those in charge, precisely nothing at all.

And to think that the evil fucks that committed this atrocity were known to the authorities, yet allowed to go about their day to day business until they deemed it appropriate and without provocation, to butcher a young man in the most horrendous way possible, before ACTUALLY being dealt with, simply beggars belief.

Imagine how different the outcome would have been if this had taken place in America where guns are rife everywhere.

Personally, i'd have these monsters stabilised and then Chinooked, along with their families and associates, over to either Iraq or Afghanistan or whatever other third world country they feel their allegiances lie with and left there to their fate.

My heart bleeds for this f*cking country. It's a farce, a relic and a ruin.
