Another BIG update.

He has now been moved out if the ICU as of 4pm yesterday.

I've been up to see him again and he is talking and now drinking water.

He's started having physio on his right arm and leg.

I asked him "what do you want to say to everybody on CS" he said "i miss them."

He's still a little confused. He thought that the nurse was from "MoreThan" his insurance company. His mum thinks it's coz the guy was wearing a green top

He likes the card that Jonny brought him.

When i left, he said that he's going to talk to me on MSN later. :tear:

Great update Steve, thanks a lot!

Did you manage to get through all those kisses?

Brilliant to hear he is getting back to full health, how long has he been in bed now? When I was in a hospital bed for a week, I lost all strength in my legs and had no balance, getting up and about again was interesting to say the least!

He's been in bed for 1 week now.

But they are going to try and get him to sit on the end of the bed 2moro.

He said "oh great"

I think it's the everyday little things that we all take for granted, he still thinks he can do them, but he can't.

Good update there Steve!

How is he feeling then?! Does he talk much?

Quite nice that he is able to chat to you again though, and your updates show that he's improving each day

He does still talk alot. Although when he starts getting tired he sounds like he's talking scottish

He keeps on wanting to roll onto his right side, but thats coz he's been on his back since last wed.

He is improving during the day coz in the morning 2day him mum said that he couldn't even move his right hand. Now he can squeeze my hand

Thats great Steve, do they know if he will have any long term injuries at all? I mean things such like slight paralysis (fingers etc), anything like that?

I hope he will make a full recovery and sounds like he is well on his way!

So far they are not saying anything like that will happen. The more physio he has, the more he gets better.

It's taking more effort to get his leg working. But i think that is coz the muscles in his legs are bigger.

The physio woman explained, "when you move you arm or leg your brain tells 1 muscle to relax and another muscle to contract." He just now needs to relearn that which his physio is doing.

they cant tell any long term damage until they either come round fully or stop at a point of coming round
