Yeh but you have to see the bigger picture..today would be a lot different if things she did never happened..yeh she got us out of debt big wow..were in more debt now and still surviving..it would have been better to keep Britons industry ffs. Obviously theres always gonna be idiots who abuse the system and dont give 2 shits but thats just life..what i mean is society on a whole would probably be better, there would be much less people on the dole if the jobs were still here.

Something like 1 in 3 people in Scotland work in the public service

Theres too many of them, most of them are vastly overpaid & on way too good a package for what they do.

I fully support the torys plan to restructure the public setor!!

some jobs in public sector are overpaid some are underpaid.

IT public sector is very underpaid

however there are far too many managers in public sector, and to some extent far to many general jobs to provide certain services

Hell Jade works for the council & regularly comes home with a shocking story regarding how wastefull they are & how half the workforce is made up of useless mid age women that are completelly useless & just complain about their job ll day instead of doing what their meant to do.

The people that work for the council here that we deal with are well and truly on the gravy train

The department we support offered voluntary redundancy at the start of the year which about 250 people took. The smallest packages they were getting were £100k
They've just started recruiting to fill those roles again

They always do that, redundancy, recruit, redundancy, recruit.

I'm going mad here, my face is going to explode.

Steve, if you were here now I'd be starting on you.

Yip the management hiarachy is so vast in many departments, needs to start the trimming there & work the way down.

Wages seem cock on for what many of them do, theres folk in the place Jade used to work got paid almost £25k a year to do photocopying & invoicing, they had some fancy title but in reality thats all they done!!

Ollie, I like you more and more each day
I work on a civil service contract. Most people in the office are basically glorified admin assistants earning £40k (the lowest you can earn in this department is £25k and can potentially get to £200k), getting 30 days holiday standard, bank holidays as normal plus extra days off for christmas, easter and the queens fucking birthday. They also get up to 25 flex days a year

Thats 66 days off a year as standard

O I do apologize I was under the conception that public sector pay was bad. My mistake

Labour have made it extremly hard for small businesses. Small businesses can't expand, hence can't creat jobs. Sorry but I don't think you are looking at the greater picture. Labour have had 13 years to sort out huge amount of issues they have created, and yet again here comes election time, a promise of xyz happening, then nothing happening, and the UK working staff being shafted further.

Labour have created their own sh1t pit of uslessness.

Our industries that she sold off we're faultering. Coal, car engineering. Your saying we should still be producing Mirris minors and such? Our car industrie of the 70's and early 80's was simply appauling and it was far better to sell them off than keep them.

How ANYONE can vote for a party wanting to put up national insurance by 1% is beyond me as well. 1% doesn't sound like much but its a huge amount!!!!!

As a country we are not surviving. Have you seen how weak the pound is due to this debt crisis? and are you aware our credit rating as a country is also at risk. That is the big picture.

If there are job cuts in the public sectors it's because there needs to be, there are far too many staff in councils etc than needs to be.

Is there a list of the "others" who won seats?

I know the Green Party somehow won a seat in Brighton, who else was there who won seats?

Yeah but you can see that. Lots of Brighton folk are hippies, have dreadlocks that haven't been washed in 10 years, wear green army trousers, black t-shirts, and usually smoking a joint chained to a fence to save the chicken from extinction.

Fair play

Controversial comment...

But considering UKIP / BNP have a total of 1.5 million votes combined, it's quite 'wrong' that they don't have a single seat to represent them.

1.5 million people in this country swayed that way...

In contrast, lib dems got 6 million people and 53 seats.

(4 times more votes, and 53 times more seats )
