Some sportex back boxes I've seen haven't been bad with the standard center section tbh.
Could always get one made up if you don't mind spending a little it on it

Every man and his dog have a Sportex one. Tempted to buy the twin one Jamie-C has for sale. Just can't quite seem to bring myself to part with the cash at the moment lol.

I don't
Irmscher one is alright, although I'm not a massive fan of twin pipes on a Corsa

I quite like twins. Would love to have the round edged square twin Irmscher one, rare though.

Haven't been able to get hold of an exhaust I like before Trax so the standard pea shooter will be on lol.
Gaz suspension turned up today. Adjustable damping front shocks and adjustable damping rear coilovers. Selling the coilovers and keeping the rear Spax shocks I have at the moment.

Spax front shocks out:

Springs swapping over:

And Gaz shocks on:

The ride is so much better. Probably because the adjusters actually work on these I've been able to make them a bit softer than the Spax shocks.

Can't be bothered lol. Spax ones I have work fine so I'm happy with that
Got the tracking done too. And the mysterious unsolvable wheel wobble I was getting has miraculously disappeared. God knows why. Nothing's changed other than different front shocks going on for the second time. Still, can't complain if it's driving properly now

Just different shocks mate. Still using the same 40mm Apex springs.
Good job really as I noticed today the front springs that the guy sent to me, one of the coils was bent and snapped lol.

Sportex one is popular because they are a good cheap upgrade from standard, all you can see is the tip of the baxkbox does it matter? As for the irmscher one guy I used to work with bought the twin irmscher backbox from a scrappy near me for £15

The thing with Sportex is the sound. I've heard a few and I don't want one that loud.

And you mate.
Yeah I'm sure the plans will materialise eventually. I was meant to be doing an internship throughout September that was going to pay really well but it's been deferred to the Spring by the client so I've been left with no work or money until I go back to Uni in October So my plans have become a bit more long term. Hopefully by Trax next year I'll be closer to having the car how I want it

Went to the scrappy today and picked up a new bonnet. The front of my current one is completely shagged; lots of bubbling and blisters. But look, no rust!:

Also picked up the stuff needed to have an electrically operated sunroof:

Also got the n/s wing mirror and what was left of the o/s:

Then when I got home I realised I'd forgotten my torx allen keys Went back to the scrappy and they'd already been taken But every cloud has a silver lining and all that...I thought whilst I was there I'd have one more hunt for the missing o/s wing mirror casing just on the off chance it was there somewhere. And low and behold, a few cars down mixed in and hidden with some other scrap on the muddy floor I found this:

Got back home and completed the pair. Need to transfer my glass onto them but I'm so happy to finally have found a pair, and I've also beaten to Darryl to getting colour coded mirrors Gave them a quick polish:

I'll set about fitting some of the bits tomorrow.
Been a successful day what with getting the Irmy backbox too

Got the wing mirrors changed over:

Here's the state of the old bonnet:

Set about getting the new one on:

All back together:

Still needs tweaking slightly but it sits much better than the old one. Also needs a wash and polish to get some oily marks and bird poo off it.
