I could go into a random council office and have saved them thousands a day in 1 shift, I'm not sure why that doesn't happen, it does in the private sector.

I hope they divide up all the money that the strikes have cost the UK and reduce everyones wage accordingly.

That would be fucking funny!

So much bollocks is getting fired around facebook about the strikes. Apparently everyone believes they are under some form of hardship Like Ian said, 'If you don't like the job you're in do something else'

Seeing some nonsense too where public sector workers seem to think they are payign NI to fund govt costs, not to top up their pensions

And just to top it off, it is widely known that teachers do not live long once they retire, they drop down dead which is why so many retire early! I love my job, but I can't keep up this pace at 68

I'd like to see the scientific proof that 'teachers drop down dead' after retirement

Which retard said that?

I do exactly what you describe, in fact probably more as I do get all the shit when Exchange or the client web servers go down.

I don't get more than 24k.

I knew someone would say that.

I didn't actually say I'm unhappy I was simply making the point that there are jobs in the private sector equivalent to what Steve was describing that pay less than in public sector.

Besides there are shockingly limited jobs for someone with my experience (4 years) that aren't further away than I already work (20 miles) that pay more.

I am totally right about the dole. Doesnt matter how %ood you are at work you could still end up needing it. If on thr chance you do need it then it has to be sufficient...

Should only be allowed 12weeks imo

striking because they feel they have some kind of right to retire early? fuck off, should have worked harder to get a better job. i cant imagine its difficult to train to be a fucking drama teacher, and i sincerely doubt its a difficult job to do that requires 12 hours of your day
