Been changing my mind a lot with what I want to do the the engine i will be replacing big end bearings, leaving main bearings, piston rings, bottom end gaskets... head will be skimmed and new head gasket kit head port and polished valves re-lapped was going to get block overbored but I want to concentrate on building a let engine when the Nova is done only reason I'm doing as much as I am with the xe is its a learning curve for me, decided to go for the LET over throttle bodies as it will be a lot better ££-bhp than a N/A engine will be treating it to a few other bits flywheel lightened and balanced and oversized tb but not going mental

Yeah nearly exactly what you described

Got the block honed, crank ground and balanced. bearings pistonrings valve guides, valves re-lapped, enlarged throttle body, New gaskets on everything a few sensors, probably a bit more but can't remember it all

I know I should remove crank but I've driven it and it was all good so I decided against it I'll be doing the re-honing myself with the help off my boss showed me how to do piston rings the other day I'm well excited just been reading your thread, did you use ear plugs when you painted the block?
