He's not played well for two games Everyone on here loves to hate Messi. Fact is, he is currently the worlds greatest player with the title to prove. So yes, you are all wrong.

Jesus Hammer.
I honestly don't know if you do think he is better, what the reasons are for it or anything else.
How you can come to that conclusion when Messi has won the last 4 World POTY is laughable though.
Because the Messi bandwagon is so fucking powerful it sucks everyone in to believing the hyped up bullshit perhaps?
Maybe it's because he smashed the world record for goals in a year? 91 goals. Ronaldo will never get that, ever.

The argument for La Liga being shit is completely flawed. The best teams? Yes. The best to watch? No. The prem is the best to watch but the level of quality isn't up to the BBVA's standard.

maybe he only scored so many because he relies on the team around him for him to function well?
as i pointed out earlier, messi it seems only plays well when he gets the service so his talent can largely also be attributed to the team around him
Ronaldo is a match winner on his own

Have you seen some of messi's goals? Notably his goal against Madrid? Messi is a match winner on his own as well. Seems he gets slated for not being ball greedy. How often do you watch RM? Do you see how often a chance breaks down because Ronaldo refuses to pass? The man is undoubtedly a tremendous footballer and a far superior athlete, but he is second to Messi. To be fair, he seems to have gotten the sulking when it's not going his way out of his game, and it wouldn't surprise me if he finally wins the Ballon D'or. But anyone who believes messi can only score when the team lays it on a plate is retarded. The whole "one league" argument is pish too. Pele played his entire career apart from a couple of seasons in what is just above an amateur league, yet no one questions his greatness? Should messi come to the SPL with his last couple of seasons to prove he can score elsewhere?

Tbf Pele's greatness isn't based on his domestic career. Something to do with winning 3 World Cups.

I'm currently working, Steve. So my apologies
Did Pele win them on his own? Or was it with the widely regarded best Brazilian team ever?

You're entitled to your opinion, Matty G. We all are! Some force theirs on us Messi fans a bit much so we have to fight back

Messi is better than Ronaldo. You dont smash every record there is if you are not best player in the world 4 years running. He will go down as the best player in history, Ronaldo will not purely because hes a cunt.
Watched something about Ronaldinho on Sky Sports last night, he is without doubt the most skillful player of the last 20 years.

Being part of the best team in the world , in a league with questionable defending and stark contrasts in quality between the top few and the rest, helps a lot, this is proven by the fact the spanish national team have proven themselves on the world stage as being best and are made up predominantely of barca players with no messi.
I say again, Messi would not have smashed all these records in the premier league, even if he was part of one of the top 3 teams

Did you copy and paste that? Last season proved that La Liga is alot stronger than the Premiership, Bilbao ruined United over 2 legs, it was more one sided than gang rape.

Yes 1 knock out round in isolation definitely proved that one league is better than another.

You do realise Chelsea beat Barcelona in the CL last year don't you? So going on your way of sorting things out that means the English league is better.

That was europa, ferguson was not using his strongest side, plus bilbao are a good team in la liga imo. Not good evidence to portray the whole la liga is stronger, you cant base these things over one off games

I find it quite ironic Rio Ferdinand is saying that considering how easily Bale breezed past him at OT earlier in the season.
I do agree though, Messi & Ronaldo are on a different planet. Followed by a small group of world class players including Iniesta, Falcao, Bale, RVP etc etc.
