I've done that a couple of times with films based on a true story but if a film is shite whilst you're watching it then it's a shite film.

Understanding meaning or concept after it is a different kettle of fish imo.

This is why some films (like looper) get such good reviews.

Someone thinks it's crap, comes home and gets straight on the internet. Another Steve from another forum has written a blog post about all these hidden meanings that aren't really there. This blog post then filters its way through the internet and everyone is too scared to say that actually, they thought it was rubbish.

Lord of the Rings: Return of the King - 8/10

Very good, but visually not as stunning as the first two and especially let down by some piss-poor green screening.
Points are deducted for it using 45 minutes to wrap up the story after it has actually ended.
