got 2 new ball joints and 2 track rod ends as i could feel a bit of play from somewhere and i hope its not the rack. cheap enough at 25 quid for the lot so no dramas.

went to see my mate the slick after work to get them fitted.

so got them fitted as quick as possible. ramps and air tools make life easier hence going to slicks work to change them. next up some tracking

was 4 both sides. so set it to 0. drives better. oddly had changed even before the ball joints etc were done just by fitting the arb back on. was toe out quite a bit as you could see it hence changing bits and re tracking it.

got home to find some tyres had arrived. will get them fitted at work in the morning. see what they are like compared to r888's. supposed to be a lot more grip from them so ive been told.

tyres fitted this morning. Took it for a quick go round industrial estate and they do seem grippy. They are fair soft compound. Lot softer than toyo.

today slicks mate from work dave had his civic type-r on the rollers.

it has exhaust manifold and full de cat exhaust system and some other stuff and it got 230 ish. he has other plans for it including a different inlet manifold and larger throttle body and perhaps management so will see what happens in the future. its a very quick car though as it is.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmJ0BfcOf5Q

then usual corsa stuff. randomly checked the ride height of the car. as the new tyres have a lot more clearance being 205 instead of 215. discovered it sat 20mil higher on passenger side. opps. sorted that out then lowered both sides down a further 20mil.

its now settled so perhaps is a bit lower than when that pic was taken.

nice tread pattern tbh. really really are soft compound.

then fitted the front carbon cards back in. rears need trimmed due to roll cage but ran out of time so will do them next week.

also wired the pas pump back up which makes the car feel odd as i have driven it for a few months without. and also wired the temp gauge up. sits about 85 ish when driving. doesnt rocket up past 95 in traffic like the standard rad did. more clearance i suppose is helping.
