you sent it first class and asked him to pay by gift.

yes he was an idiot for dealing with you but maybe he hasn't actually got the item. IF he wanted to scam you then he wouldn't have paid by gift and made a claim through paypal (paypal would have gone in his favour, if that had been the case).

Are you sure you sent the item to 319?? because 318 or 316 was written on the receipt and then changed.

the girl behind the counter wrote the adress i just asked for it to be sent there i also posted the receipt as he wanted it i did my bit

and it was payed into my bank not paypal :s i dont have paypal

I have to disagree with you there mate. Corsabsonny made a deal with YOU. He paid YOU for the lights including postage. YOU chose the method of delivery, YOU handed the money over to the post office for delivery therefore YOU have the contract with the P.O.

At the end of the day the right thing is to pay back the money and claim it back off the P.O.
You can't just wash your hands of it.
For future reference next time you scam, sorry I mean deal with somebody it may be worth using recorded delivery.
If the money involved is worth worrying about I always use recorded, If I'm not arsed about losing the money involved I take the risk of not getting a signature on delivery.

Maybe if you history on this site was worthy of us believing you then maybe we would give you the beneift of the doubt.

Anytime i've sent stuff recorded delivery the postcode is printed onto the reciept not hand written.

to paypal..the address he gave me as posted above..theres the print screen he sent me sayin my grandad payed him 45 quid..ive rung my sorting office theyve checked and havent had any parcel go through or get sent back for my address or 318 as there sint a 318 on my road, they said all i can do is keep ringing his post office until they pcik up and make them trace the reciept number back if they give me my postcode then its been lost if its the wrogn postcode itll prove hes had me over
